things that are on their mind, things that they
wish their Leader to know, and those delicate
discrepancies between tricks and roads.

Franky ,dressed in a red shirt and torn jeans, his hair throughly combed and styled and his sunglasses resting atop his head casually strolls into the directors office and heads towards the window whistling loudly.

"Woah nice view you got here!" he says out loud turning to look at Aihara "looking down on the entire city eh? That must really change your perception on... well everything"

He pulls up a chair, sits down and places his feet on the desk, smiling a crooked smile, "So then boss... whats going down?"

*Aihara looks over his documents at his visitor, Franky-kun, and decides to take a moment away from the paperwork. He slips the stack of paper back into the deep manila folder, tucking it back into his bottom drawer, and turns back to his guest, his voice silken and smooth*

"Good morning to you too, Franky-kun. I hope the day finds you well."

*His gaze swivel to the feet on his desk, a rogue muscle beneath his left eye twitching, before he shifts his attention back to the man supposed to be his highest aide*

"Do you have any plans for this afternoon? There's a couple of things we need to go through, not a lot; just some administrative work, a couple of palette problems in the new wards, and some problems I've been having with the Bloody Armor..."

"I got all the time in the world boss..." Franky's attention begins to shift to the clock on the wall behind Aihara, but he shrugs it off and turns back to look at him again.

"what exactly is the problem with the armor then?" he says with a sparkle in his eyes "i havent fixed up anything in days now..."

He reaches for his jeans pocket and pulls out an old pocket watch and compares it to the time on the clock...

"Thought so!" he said as he got up and closley checked it, " its about 2 seconds too slow, man that was bugging me!"

*Aihara eyes swivel slowly around the room, the corners of his mouth lifting*

"You're out of touch, Franky-kun. Your senses are dulling. A couple of months ago you could've told me that without the need for your clockwork companion, but now..."

*He rose from his seat, rolling himself towards the window to gaze upon the world below*

"Do you see the Highway in the distance? That's the territory of the current Flame King's team, Hinote no Kouseki. They've been keeping their distance from the Hospital. I think the time is coming for us to go down there and make ourselves known."

*Bending over, Aihara unties his ATs, slipping out his feet onto the lush blue carpet before handing them to his tuner*

"The front wheels are a little loose, and they may need retuning to my style. I've been riding them like a maniac the past week or so, and they're getting a little out-of-sync. You up for a tuning session later?

Franky laughs as he sits back down in the chair, "Yes my senses arent quite in tune as they used to be, its been too quiet lately"

snatching the AT's from Aihara he closley inspects them, and within seconds he places them on the desk and leans back on his chair.

"yep looks like the bearings are a little bit loose on the front wheels, nothing too severe. A tuning session sounds like a plan to me."

Franky leans back in his chair even further and looks out the window towards the far off highway.

"we're going to need those AT's in top shape if we're going pay the flame king a visit"

"From what I hear through the grapevine, the Flame King is having some problems with his members at the moment. It might be worth giving him a little longer to ease the dissent within his ranks before we rain down out might upon them. Also, one of our own members..."

*Aihara's brow furrows, and he crosses back to his desk, flicking through the documents spread across his desk until he found the sheaf he was looking for*

"...Aihara Sasuke. I was assured that, while his family name is identical to my own, he is unrelated to my own line. In the light of new evidence, however, I believe him to be a distant cousin of my father. This disturbs me. Not the fact that I'm related to him, but the source of my previous assurances..."

*Aihara leans on his desk, his powerful eyes flickering across Franky's sunglasses and hair.*

"...find out who our researcher is, and send Sasuke over there to ensure that he can't disappoint any more."

*Sighing heavily, Aihara lowered himself back into his chair, and looked into his Deputy's shallow blue eyes*

"How is your correspondence within Tool Toul To these days, Franky-kun?"

"Tool Toul eh? Its been some time since ive been in contact with the ladies back there...but i cant see any problems if you need me to give them a holler"

Franky sat up and looked at Aihara quite seriously

"...so he is related to you, i thought that was a bit of a strange coincidence... it shouldnt be too much trouble finding the person responsible for this... mistake"

Franky looks around the office and lowers his voice

"what do you think though? human error or something else? maybe im just getting paranoid for my own good"

*Sitting up straight, Aihara raises one eyebrow*

"You suspect something deeper? Has someone planted the seed of dissent within my own team? I can't believe it! The researchers aren't even fully fledged members and they're plotting against us!"

*Shaking his head hurriedly, he reached into his bottom drawer again, bringing out a bottle of vodka and two shot glasses*

"You see? Already our anger grows. And as for the T3 ladies, I was merely inquiring as to whether you had set your differences aside since your holiday. I see no need to contact T3 unless your tuning capabilities suddenly fail and plunge me headlong into the enemy..."

*He hands Franky-kun a shot of vodka, downing his own, before continuing hastily*

"...which I'm sure will never happen so long as we work together, keeping this team together for the good of the city. Don't you agree?"

Franky chuckles as he knocks back his drink, slamming the empty glass on the desk.

"I dont like all this conspiracy, it really puts me on edge. I wish we'd just get confronted head on rather than from the shadows."

"Speaking of shadows, have you even seen Sasuke recently? He seems to have disappeared off the radar, and that disturbs me more than it usually would. Because, although he is one of our own and an Aihara to boot, his presence seems somewhat..."

*Aihara paused, considering as he poured another two shots of vodka*

"...forced, almost. And while his abilities as a Rider have yet to be discussed, or even discovered, I feel as if his abilities will come out in their own time, and not to anybody else's tune but his own. This worries me as well."

*Passing the shot back to his Tuner/Deputy, Aihara smiles as a memory of a thought crawls its way back to his mind*

"Moving on to a completely different topic, do you have a workshop somewhere? I haven't seen one around the hospital, and I'm not sure I've ever heard you speak of one, but I think you should have one somewhere. I think it would be good for you. And, there's a couple of ideas I have..."

"I havent seen that kid around here for a while now, maybe hes out there perfecting his skills...maybe"

Franky sighs as he leans back in his chair so far that the legs tilt off the floor

"you know me, ive just been working here and there really, i havent got a base of operations per se. What ideas have you got?"

*Aihara leaned forwards eagerly, his hair falling across his face*

"We could convert one of the spare rooms in the North Ward into a workshop for you. Then you'd have somewhere fixed to make your gadgets, fix your ATs, and tinker away to your heart's content. It would keep you closer to the Hospital, and while I'm not trying to keep you by my side at all times, it'd be nice to see you more than I do. You are my Deputy after all, and my Tuner."

*Aihara knocks back his shot of vodka, cringes, and slams the glass back on the table, shattering it in his hand*

"Bugger."

*Using his teeth, Aihara picks the pieces of glass from his hand and staunches the flow of blood with his sleeve*

"I recently gained some insight into the Fang Kings of yore, and I discovered a trend that they seemed to follow. I'd quite like to create my own version of this trend. And as for Sasuke ... In fact, I may just have him disposed of."

*Nodding to himself, he opens the left-middle drawer of his desk and takes out the drawer's sole occupant - a walkie-talkie. Putting the device to his mouth, he whispers a few brief words, then replaces it in the drawer as if nothing had occured.*

"It's done. His body will be harvested for organs and his residence will be ... shall we say ... purified."

Franky trying to ignore the bloodstained mess before him, with a smile on his face and a glimmer in his eye he leans forwards in his chair

"A new home certainly does sound nice to me, but im quite intrigued by what this trend would be. Do explain further and I'll see what i can rustle up for you!"

"I've heard brief snippets of this before, a whispering between the older AT riders I trained with; that the Bloody Road, the most violent Road ever ran, also harbors a darker side. I'm sure that you're aware that the Bloody Road is a path to fighting, a Road which you carve into your opponents. I know that you understand this, as you half-follow the Bloody Road yourself..."

*Aihara paused, remembering the delicacies of Franken's unique Road*

"...which reminds me, have you worked out the name of your Road yet? When you do, let me know so I can enter it in our records. Now, where was I ... ah yes, the Bloody Road. All previous riders of the Bloody Road used some form of belt or hook, in a whip-like fashion, but also to bind their opponents to slow them and increase the accuracy of their fangs."

*His vision fogged, just for a moment, and he saw his predecessor standing over him, wearing that vicious black straight-jacket.*

"Indeed, the ex-Fang King Hachigen used this trend to his own advantages, even when he searched for help. However, since I understand the drawbacks of such a double-edged blade, I wish not for a straight-jacket, nor some other form of belted coat. What I want is a device to hide in my sleeves, which dispenses a mimic of the trend. Do you see where I'm going with this?"
